Scott M. Matheson Wetlands Preserve

There are many people dedicated to preserving the desert southwest and Colorado Plateau. One of the most visible efforts is the 890 acres Scott M. Matheson Wetlands Preserve in the Moab Slough. The Nature Conservancy provides information on the parks visiting hours.

The Nature Conservancy has been one of the most important resources in the struggle to preserve the remaining wild lands in Utah. It is a collection of concerned citizens who put there money where their mouth is and actually purchase land so that our children will be able to enjoy some of the quality of life that we take for granted.
