Utah Musicians on iTunes
I've had a bear of a time figuring out how to monetize this site. I want a business model that raises awareness of the local community and local art. The problem is that many artists and small businesses are cash strapped.
Anyway, I just spent the day sorting through iTunes trying to find Utah musicians and put together the Utah Musicians on iTunes. With this page, I get to be one of the middle men leaching off the talents off the iTunes music stream. I get a shiny nickel for each $.99 cent song purchased.
I've been searching the net and could not find an answer to the question of the take of the musicians.
Truth be told, CD Baby has a better selection of independent musicians, but I can't wiggle my way into that income stream; so I don't want you to know about it.
Supporting art is greaqt, but talentless drones like me need someway to get our little taste of the nectar; So I won't tell you about CD Baby and so I will hype iTunes.
